Sea Pines (private/gated resort) — iconic, family-friendly resort community with Harbour Town marina and lighthouse, Sea Pines Beach Club / South Beach, miles of paved bike paths through maritime forest, three championship golf courses, stables and nature trails. Dining, shops and watersports cluster at Harbour Town; beaches and lagoon access are within short bike/car distances. The area is upscale, residential and highly walkable/bikable inside the plantation but controlled by Sea Pines gates and some guest-only beach parking.

Within Sea Pines the best transport is walking, biking, or the Sea Pines community trolley and resort shuttles; there are extensive paved bike paths connecting villas to Harbour Town, South Beach and the Beach Club. Driving is convenient for short trips off-plantation (store, restaurants outside Sea Pines). Rideshare, taxis and local shuttle services operate island-wide, but availability can be limited during peak season or late night. Car rental is recommended for exploring beyond the island or for guests who prefer direct access to Bluffton and mainland services.
