Neighborhood: Chocolate Hole (Chocolate Hole East Road) lies just east of Cruz Bay along the south‑facing coast. It’s residential and quieter than downtown Cruz Bay but within a short drive (typically 3–7 minutes) of Cruz Bay’s shops, restaurants, and the main ferry terminal. The area features coastal views, some private and public beach access points (small beaches and rock outcrops at Chocolate Hole Bay), hillside villas, and limited commercial services—guests will usually go into Cruz Bay for groceries, dining, and nightlife.

Getting around: • Walking: Limited for daily needs — Cruz Bay’s center is walkable from some Chocolate Hole locations but expect short hills. • Island jitney buses: Local shared vans run along main routes between Cruz Bay, Coral Bay and other parts of the island; schedule and frequency are limited. • Taxis: Readily available in Cruz Bay; phone or hotel/tour companies can call one. • Car rental: Strongly recommended for flexibility; a high‑clearance vehicle or Jeep is common because roads are narrow and hilly. • Ferries: Visitors arrive to Cruz Bay via ferry from St. Thomas (Red Hook or Charlotte Amalie) or BVI; the Cruz Bay ferry landing is the island’s main marine gateway. • Parking: Residential roads have limited curb parking; properties sometimes include private parking but guests should confirm space in advance.
